This was shot on a one to one earlier in the year. I was feeling a little bit miserable with the cold weather so added a little bit of sunshine from the summer! A simple shot with extra flash and about one stop under exposure has created a dramatic effect. Beautiful light, beautiful architecture, beautiful location- this is why I am a photographer!

Shot in Eastbourne, Sussex, England. I used a tripod with a cable release and mirror-up. The exposure was several seconds, hence the tripod allows the picture to be sharp. Use a small aperture like F11 for extended depth of field. It also allows the water to blur and become misty. Shot with a Nikon DSLR D2x and medium telephoto of 100mm.

Here is a deceptively tricky job removing the drainpipe from this lovely street in Honfleur, France. It needed the use of several different tools including the lasso, polygonal, healing brush, clone stamp and several layers. The work had to be done in stages as the pipe was not straight. For more details why not come on a Photoshop workshop and learn all the tricks needed to create great looking shots you would be proud to hang on your wall. sorry for not blogging for so long! I have been away and also working very hard on my new stock library website www.stockshooter.com. Please take a look at it. I would appreciate any feedback! Here is a new shot done today. I was wanting a painterly, artistic effect and came up with quite a nice technique. This and many other techniques are available on my short Photoshop workshop courses. I normally deal in one to one for the best learning experience but if you have a small group I am happy to offer my services also. I am now offering full board accommodation in my house with your own en-suite double bedroom as an added service so you can literally walk from breakfast to my office!
